Zune a closed ecosystem

Microsoft need to open the ecosystem if they want the Zune to be a success. Are they going to do that? I guess not until they have really bad sales numbers. So, we will have to wait a least 12 to 18 months before we can see a more open plateform.

The Zune is not even compatible to their Playforsure system. How can we expect that they will open the Zune ecosystem to Napster 2.0 or Rhapsody?

On the other end, Microsoft really need to jump in the band wagon of MP3 players because it is beginning to take a lot of place in our entertainement life. If users put enough pressure on Microsoft, they will eventually open the system a lot more than Apple.
