CES 2007: JBL Speaker for the Zune
We spent some time at the JBL booth this week. We had a second look at the speaker system presented by JBL in the Zune booth. We took other pictures of it and with noticed interesting connectors on the back of the device. First, there is a USB connector that will ease the Zune synchronisation with your PC. Secondly, there is a video out connector to view your Zune videos and pictures on your TV. I just hoped that those USB connectors available on the speaker system does not mean we will have to wait for years before we can sync wirelessly the Zune with the PC!!!
The docking station attached to the speaker is also sliding to facilitate transportation. And finally, the JBL Zune speaker can also be operated with batteries, but the device is asking for 4 AA batteries.

With the huge array of ipod player/speakers out there, it certainly would be nice to have something for my zune! Nice that it comes in all the zune colors.

I wonder if you can charge your Zune from these speakers. On one of the pictures there is an input that says "Charge Only." I would definatley think about picking one of these up when it comes out.

Anyone find out if this is available yet? The other posts were over a year ago- so I'm hoping I can find one. Does anyone know if its a charger also? Or has anyone found a better speaker/charging platform- at a reasonable price?

The Zune version of this product never made it to the market. And don't hold your breath on it, because JBL is no longer saying that a Zune speaker system is in the planning.
