The Police and the Zune Marketplace

Last weekend I was lucky enough to buy a pair of tickets to see The Police next July! Lucky? Not so sure! The tickets went on sale last Saturday at noon. I called at 11:50 and tried to hold the line until noon but they hung-up on me at…11:59! I had to try 320 times before I could have the line back but it was already 12:40. At that time, the best I could do was to buy only 2 tickets located behind the stage! I called my friends and told them I had backstage tickets for The Police….They didn’t believe me.

I also tried to buy the tickets online but the Ticketmaster website jammed at noon and I couldn’t download a single page for hours. I’m pretty sure nobody bought any The Police ticket through the website on Saturday. Technology is still not perfect I guess!

Anyway, I’m going to see The Police in July and I’m happy about it!

In the meantime, I logged onto the Zune Marketplace to download all the albums I could find from them. This is probably the greatest feature of the Zune Pass subscription plan: Download whatever you want whenever you need it!

Reggatta De Blanc and Synchronicity were available but even if I could have the information on Zenyatta Mondatta and Ghost in the Machine on the Zune Marketplace, the albums were not available for download. I was a bit disappointed about that but them I found an interesting album called Message in a Box: The Complete Recordings. All the songs a wanted were on the album (78 songs!).

Awesome!

Roxanne and Drive are my favorites. The Police were a great band.

Good to hear they are getting back together and available on Zune Marketplace!
