Product quality (8/10):

Don’t expect fancy packaging when you order your FlexiSkin for the Zune. It comes in a plain plastic box and there is not even a logo or name on it. But the quality of the product cannot be determined by the packaging this time.

The FlexiSkin offer a good construction quality and it fits the Zune perfectly.

The silicon has a very good resilience and you can squeeze or stretch it and it will take back its original form.

Usability (8.5/10):

You can easily insert the Zune in the Boxwave case. Like most silicon cases, constantly inserting and removing the Zune from the case is not recommended. Re-installing the screen protector each time you insert the Zune may become annoying after a while.

The hold button and connectors of the Zune are easily accessible at all time. The USB connector’s cutoff is even unnecessary large.

Zune’s control buttons are very easy to use.

Player Protectiveness (8.5/10):

This Zune Case offers a good protectiveness to your Zune but only for small drops. Bumpers on some of the edges give the Zune a decent protection for this kind of cases.

The hard screen protector that comes with the case is also excellent. It’s in fact the best one we have seen so far because it fits very well with the edges of the case. Once the screen protector is the right position, it won’t easily move from there.

Conclusion (8.5/10):

At $20, the Boxwave FlexiSkin can be considered a good Zune accessory. You won’t find the robustness of the Speck’s ThoughSkin but it does not add the same thickness to your Zune. If you need a decent protection for your Zune and you don’t want to pay too much, the FlexiSkin may be the perfect case for you Zune player.
