Pink Zune is Already Back Ordered!
There is a rumour going on at Zune-Online and Gizmodo about the pink Zune to be release tomorrow, Friday the 13th.
To clarify the information, I called Ebgames and asked about the situation with the pink Zune. The rumour posted on the Internet this morning was right and wrong at the same time.
I learned that the pink Zune will be arriving in very limited quantities to the stores since this is a limited edition (100000 a limited edition?). But if you go on Ebgames right now, you will be able to order a pink Zune even if the player is already back ordered.
Ebgames told me they won't be able to fulfill the orders with the first batch of pink Zunes they have.
So, if you're interested in buying a pink Zune, you should enter your order right now to be on the list of buyers as soon as possible. Amazon is also carrying the new Zune if you prefer.
The company also said that the website should be updated tomorrow to reflect that and shipping should start next week.
So, tomorrow may be the official release date of the pink Zune but it won't make any difference since the player is already back ordered.

I think that the pink zune is a nice touch, for girls at least, but it would be cool if they released a dark-green, like the original Xbox, and then have the doubleshot's color be light green. I also think they should make one that looks like the xbox 360 and on the ridge in the back they should put the 360 logo.

i dont understand who's the deal about these pink zunes. why is everyone getting so hyped up about these? or is it just the zune community that's hyping them up? it'll be interesting to see how well these sell.

Simply because pink is such a clique color that is often associated with women. You'd be amazed on the number of women that will buy something simply because it's pink(and I apologize now for any offense given to women who hate the color pink, or something similar along those lines. I've just met far too many women who design their entire wardrobe around all things pink.)

100,000 production run, 30,000 sales outlets... That is 3 or 4 pink Zunes per store.
No wonder they are back ordered!
