Zune Accessory: Broadcast Your Zune Music Through Power Lines!
Using the same kind of technology used by X10, Pioneer will release an audio distribution system that will let you use your power lines to transmit the music of your Zune or computer. You will be able to transmit all the content from your Zune Pass subscription to other rooms in the house, without the degradation associated with fm transmission.
The Music Tap MT-01 will be released in Japan in mid-July. For ¥70,000, Japanese consumers will get a control unit to go wherever the music source is, along with two 25W speakers and a single 5W speaker to place around the house. The system has also multi-room capabilities. This means that two music sources will be broadcast on the power lines at the same time.
The control unit has two analog inputs and USB ports. No date or plans announced by Pioneer for a worldwide release.

70 000 Japanese yen = 590.517969 U.S. dollars
Not bad considering that it is a revolutionary product as far as I'm concerned! I think it's great that Microsoft is going to use this technology to transport their music around. I'm not exactly sure how it works, but could a network be created though land power lines so you could listen anywhere you have power? It would be amazing if, for a fee, you could plug in some specialized Zune speakers into the wall in a hotel room and get the music from your Zune pass/Music Tap. In opposition, however, wouldn't it be cheaper just to buy some really loud speakers and put them in one room :)

This is almost retarded considering that Zune has Wi-fi and that someone should create an Audio Receiver that can be turned on with the Zune and music can be played through it that way and to increase revenue include an (ugh) iPod adapter as well at a nominal fee
