Zune Sales are Up!

According to NPD numbers for the month of May, Zune hold 11.3% of the hard-disc based MP3 market. The strong pink Zune sales probably helped to achieve that number.

Let see if the Zune can continue to rise in June with the Zune-Halo 3 and Red Zune special edition released last week.

How do we know that Zune sales are actually up? The market share for one month may be up, but that doesn't necessarily mean sales are increasing. In fact, you could have increased market share for a month with steady or declining sales if your competition's sales declined more than yours.

Let's not get too excited and stick with facts. We don't know that Zune sales are up until sales numbers are released.
