Brown Zune-Halo 3 Special Edition for the Soldiers
Microsoft
released another version of the Zune-Halo 3 special Edition, specifically
limited to the soldiers and their families. Based on the brown Zune instead of
the black one, the new limited edition Zune looks very similar to the one
available at Gamestop.
But
the main difference with the previous Zune-Halo 3 is probably the price. That’s
right folks! The lucky soldiers can buy the new Halo 3-Zune at a discounted price.
Microsoft did not say what the Zune discounted price was, but we can probably assume
that it is around $200, the same price Microsoft employees are paying for the
Zune.
But
wait, Microsoft’s generosity doesn’t stop there. The Redmond Company is also
giving away 300 Zunes to a group of soldiers leaving for active duty this week.
I wonder if they'll be sharing tunes while riding the thanks? I would also be very curious to see
how the Zune Wi-Fi connection can handle 299 Zune mates in the same room or plane!
But the soldiers leaving home for more than 30 days shouldn’t use the Zune Pass Subscription though! Why? Because with Zune Pass, you need to sync with your computer every 30 days, otherwise you lose access to the content on your Zune...
