TigerDirect.ca Selling New Zunes...Zune In Canada Now?(Update 2)

Okay, I guess you can file under this as lucky-for-me news and to tell all of you guys, it's more breaking news. Everyday, ever since joining this site, I have been looking for my own breaking news, my own story to call my own, and I have finally found it.

Being that I am Canadian, and live in a country were temporarily, the Zune is not officially being sold here, you can probably guess where this story is heading. As you all may recall, back when the first-gen Zunes were launch, a little known canadian shopping site called Tiger Direct was selling 30GB Zunes to Canadians. Then after realizing, it was an American only product, and that Microsoft had no plans of selling Zune in Canada, at that time, it was quickly removed off of the site, and never seen again. And after about a month of repeatedly checking the site out, they have surprised me again.

If you go to tigerdirect.ca (If link doesn't work, just go to tigerdirect.ca and type in Zune in search) you can see that once the search for Zune actually brings up 5 items. They happen to be the Zune 8 in Black and Pink, and the Zune 4 in Black, Green and Pink. And they are "In Stock", and have prices $182.99 for Zune 4 and $243.99 for Zune 8. (Prices are in Canadian Dollars)

Now I have questions. Why are we paying more than the U.S., even when our dollar, currently is better than theirs? Why are there only 5 to choose from when there are 9 in total? Where are the accessories with the supposed French Packaging? So many questions are being pondered right now about this, but the fact is.... Is this another mistake by tigerdirect again, which will be taken off, or Is this the sign of the release of the Zune in Canada, and this is primarily step 1.

(UPDATE): Turns out my instincts were true, tigerdirect.ca has removed the new Zunes they were "supposedly" selling and looks to be another mistake that should have never have started. Although under the mp3 section, there is still a link for Microsoft Zune, nothing shows up under that section. Tigerdirect messed things up again.

(UPDATE 2): Well, all I can say is that tigerdirect seems to be playing with me today. As they have now just re-released the zunes on their site> However, this time the prices have changed and now there is an added item under the search results. They have now changed the price of the Zune 4 to $149.99 and the Zune 8 to $199.99 and now you can get the Premium Zune Headphones for $34.99 and are all again "In Stock". (Prices are in Canadian Dollars). So all we can do now is wait and see where this goes now. How long will it last on the site this time?, or are these Zunes here to stay and sell.

Yea, I see, but those guys only have the new zunes for pre-order, whereas, tigerdirect had the new zunes to buy and were in stock.

I should also point out, that TigerDirect re-set that page and the 5 Zunes came back on the site for a little while and the prices changed to 149.99 for 4GB and 199.99 for 8GB, but then before I oculd post another update, it was removed off of the site again. There were also Zune Premium Headphones for 34.99.
