Demand For Zune Elsewhere

When I see content like this, I start to wonder why the Microsoft team hasn't focused on marketing their Zune anywhere else but the US so far.

Question on Music & Play:

When will the Zune 80GB, 4GB and 8GB players be available here in the Phillippines?

Answer:

Last we checked with Microsoft, the company did not seem to have any concrete plans to launch the Zune in Asia.

As long as they can make them fast enough, the worldwide Zune market is quite large, and there are plenty of folks outside the US that are interested in such a product.  Then again, there weren't enough Zune 80's this Christmas so let's hope production gets ramped up to meet demand.

The TOS have terms specifically for Canada, and it supports French (and Spanish) so I assume it will be in Canada next.

sell Zunes in Mexico!! I wanted a 80GB so I went to US but I couldnt find one so I got stucked with a 30Gb, pretty good but the 80 is better cause of the zunepad.

exactly! many people are interested in the Zune here in the Philippines, sadly they can't get hold of one...

im in the philippines and i wanted to buy a zune 80 but since zune is not for sale here i settled with ipod class 80gb

its been years since zune came out, i wonder what the hell microsoft is doing
with its marketing.
