Subscribe to iTunes podcasts and Sync Them to Your Zune
The
introduction of Zune podcasts on the Zune marketplace is great. We really appreciate
it, but let’s be honest here, the Zune marketplace still offers a limit number
of titles.
So what should we do if our appetite for podcasts is unsatisfied? Use iTunes! I know, some of you might get acne just by downloading iTunes, but for those of you that won't feel secondary effects by doing so, you can use iTunes to surf Apple's huge podcast
directory, subscribe to the podcasts you want (and that are not available on the Zune
marketplace...) and you’re done.
The Zune
software will automatically recognize the iTunes podcasts, add them to your collection under podcasts and
sync them to your Zune player. Isn’t it
sweet? Thanks Apple.
If your
Zune software does not automatically add the iTunes podcasts, just make sure
that the iTunes directory is in you "Monitored Folders" list (click
settings/collection).
Thanks

Just make an extension for the windows shell (is shell the right word? what's that called?) to convert ipod one click links to zune one click links.

You can also get the information from the podcast, in itunes, and add the link in Zune. I am able to subscribe to all the podcasts I used to get in itunes, with Zune. Under Zune go to Collection:Podcasts and select Add A Podcast, and type in the link. It should end with .xml and Zune will find it and allow you to subscribe.

Just add podcasts to the Zune software manually by URL. The advantage is that the Zune software can then manage the lifetime of the podcast better and take old episodes off your device manually.
The place where iTunes is very useful is on password protected and https podcasts neither of which are supported by the Zune software (yet).

I have a paid subscription podcast that requires a userid and password. Doesn't seem to work with the current Zune software. Any thoughts?
Thanks
