Battle of the Big A's Brewing

While this is a Zune site, the big name in downloadable music up until recently was Apple with their iTunes offering.  However, the music was locked to their annoying white players.  Then the other big A, better known as Amazon entered the arena.  To make things even sweeter, the tracks were higher quality, had no DRM, and were universally compatible mp3's.

Being here in the US, I never really thought about it if these Amazon downloads were available elsewhere; truth be known, I kind of assumed they were.  Anyway, apparently after reading this, they weren't previously, but they will be soon.

While we're on the subject of downloadable music, reportedly Qtrax goes live tomorrow, but many us seem like it's too good to be true.  Let's hope it's not another SpiralFrog.
