Zune 3.0 software now available
Posted by Robert Nelson
In short...the Zune 3.0 software update is now available. You can grab the new software by launching your current version and heading to Settings -> Software -> General -> Check for update. Also if you do not already have the Zune software installed you can download it directly by clicking here. Mine is downloading as I write this post, can't wait to begin playing.

I just updated but I still cannot login to my zune account. It's 7:19 EST for me.

Mine took a little while before I could log in also, as of now (8:25 EST) it seems to be working as normal, and has allowed me to login and accept the new terms.

I just got done downloading my software. I was relieved when all my music appeared in order - unlike the 2.0 upgrade. I played a quick game of Hexic and logged in to the Marketplace to surf a bit on my Zune. Pretty cool all around so far!
My one issue is that I had heard Channels would be available even if you don't have a Zune Pass - you would just get a 30 second clip of the songs rather than the full. I tried to subscribe to a channel and it would not allow me. Maybe this will be added later. Not a big deal, considering I just got a free upgrade!

Can the 3.0 update be used on old 30G player?

Yes, the 3.0 software will work on any Zune player.

Hey no comments about the new clock feature lol.

@Brandon
I'm reaaaaaaly happy about the clock feature, but i just wish there was more features with it (like choosing color or where to place it), but a nice simple clock is just fine for now.
I also heard that Zune was going to allow basic internet browsing. where did that go?

I am actually really happy about the clock myself, always seems strange that it did not have one.
