- Send photos and music (no videos) from Zune-to-Zune via WiFi. The media files (protected and unprotected) will only be listenable for three days or three plays, whichever comes first. At expiration, the meta-data of th media files stays in the Zune for future reference and shopping at Zune Marketplace.
- Play movies and videos.
- Gapless playback.
- Automatically detects and adjusts display to either portrait or landscape. The navigation buttons swap to fit the portrait or landscape position of the media.

The 30Gb Zune can play video with a resolution of 320x240. The Zune software can trancode a higher resolution to make it playable on the Zune.
7. What kind of battery is included in the Zune
The battery included is a Li-ion(lithium) battery. Lithium batteries deliver greater performance with lighter weight than the nickel-based batteries listed above. They develop no memory effect, and are non-toxic; but they are more expensive. Charging requires a controlled, constant voltage process, and the useful life of these batteries can be reduced up to 60% if overcharged.
8. Is the battery user changeable?
No.
The duration of the Zune battery is 14 hours of music or 4 hours of video with the Wi-fi at off. With wireless Wi-fi on but no activity the time drops to 13 hours of music. Those numbers are under laboratory conditions. Real world duration times should be around 75% of that.
The screen of the 30Gb Zune is QVGA LCD screen of 3".

The Zune can play WMV files, MPEG-4 files and H.264 files

No. The only protected files (DRM) that you can play on the Zune are the ones purchased from the Zune Marketplace.

The Zune package includes a pouch, a charger, USB cable and earphones
17. What can I do with the Wifi connectivity?
At launch, the Zune will be able to do those 3 scenarios:
• Search for nearby Zune owners to interact with.
• Send a song or album for a limited 3-day/3-play trial listen. Songs come over with metadata and album art. After the trial, the song gets deleted from the Zune on the next sync, but the info on the song stays in a "journal" on your PC for later purchase or acquisition.
• Send photos for unlimited viewing (and these can sync back onto the recipient's PC).
18. What is the preloaded content available in the Zune?

19. Can I download music directly from the Internet to my Zune?
No. You can't do that but you will probably be able to do that in the future with a firmware upgrade.
20. Can I sync my Zune with my PC over the Wi-fi connection?
No. You need to sync your Zune with the USB cable. Future upgrades could eventually make that happen
21. Can I you the DJ mode with the Wi-fi connection?
No. At the moment, you can only send one song or album to one user at a time. You cannot stream the music of one Zune to another one.

I am having a huge problem with my zune.whenever I install the zune software,it says it successfully installs,it will just close ubruptly,and I have to uninstall it,then reinstall it to try again,and if I try to start the installer after it closes,it says it is working properly,but if I click the zune icon on start---> all programs(none was made on the desktop) it just sits there,and wont open.has anyone found a fix for this problem?

Can I charge my Zune player to any computer as long as I install the Zune CD on it? If so will it upload whatever songs from another computer, while deleting the files and songs that already exist on my MP3 player?

What is the distance the WiFi works? Does it only pick up other Zunes in say 100 feet?

Hello.
I just have a question about the new update- there are three movie clips when I connect my zune, but then when I try to sync them onto my zune they don't appear. Why can't I watch them on my zune by itself? If anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate thanks!

I am having a huge problem with my Zune and I am about to give up on it and go and buy IPOD. I can not trasfer MP3 Audio without skipping some parts of the audio!!!! I have tried many times and same problem in different sections. Example. I have a Cd with 25 chapter of a book in MP# format. I have done drag and drop into new playlist and every time it only sync few chapters and skips more than half and next try will only sync 2 chapers and skip 23 and so on. Coud you help me please.

why does it take so long to sync music to my zune as opposed to my ipod?
im just wondering cause ive been syncing my zune for about 10 hours an it still only bout 80% done
an the ipod takes like 30 minutes
