Zune Release Date: UK and Canada Soon?

Hold your breath everybody! The thechannelchecker was probably right after all! January 15th may be the right date for a Zune release in the UK! Or at least, we can say that Microsoft does not like the idea that everybody says that the Zune won’t be available in Europe before the end of 2007.

So we’ve said all along that we are looking at expanding Zune to other countries, but we haven't made any official announcements about timing. Many of you have seen the recent statement re: U.K. availability. It was taken out of context, and it's not representative of the official Microsoft position.
Right now, everyone here's excited to launch Zune in the U.S. on November 14th, and I'll share additional details on other countries as they become available.

If Cesar takes the time to post something like that, it is surely because the release date is sooner, and a lot sooner, than the end of 2007. But when? Still no word on what to expect! Nobody thought that Microsoft would release the Zune only in the US! The question is how fast the rest of the world will be able to buy their Zune? I feel like we are playing a ping-pong game here!

By the way, Zune is sponsoring "Small Sins" (a band included in the pre-loaded content of the Zune) on November 22 in Canada! I don't want to start rumors again but, does that mean that the Zune release date for Canada will be at least known before that date? I would not sponsor an event in a country where I don't have a product to sell? Would you?

wut the hekkk man my birthday has passd and im supposed to get this zune for it and im waiting and getting very impatient and if these ppl dunt do somthing about the release date preety soon ppl wont be excitd for this zune and buy a ipod video like jeez

well thats knd of gay i wanted my sune before the end of summer to show my firned but now... in november i know its only a stons throw away but still. the product is made. the demand is there so why is it taking so long... well god knows that it will come out soon

well basically i had a commercial come up and it had some to do with the zune release er some like that and it told me to go to this website: www.zune.net/journal/ it no longer exists nor do i ever see the commercial... the website i type inn know just re-directs me to www.zune.net/enUS/ a US website obviously and i cannot believe it cause i tried www.zune.net/canada and that worked so i got all phsyced out about it thinking it was gona be released but know none of that exissts ....maybe they were gona release it but some possibly happened maybe that caused them to cancel the release...possibly the commercial was accidentally put up and all of it was to come......ne way i can almost feel the zune in my hands right know so if u can keep me up to date with the release of it it would be greatly great : )

Well I can say that the Zune ROCKS!!! through official channels I managed to receive one of these beauties for Xmas (I live in the UK!!!) and I have got to say Microsoft seem to be severely underestimating how immense a UK release will be. IPod owners should start feeling nervous...

Well its 08 and no UK release yet...hmmm... I wounder if its ever coming :( i'm sure it will but they are dragging the release on a bit. Anyone heard anything about any dates?

Ive got a zune, and it tells me to go to 'www.zune.net/setup' and I do, and coz im in UK it dunt let me download the software for it so im kind of stuck...
